Quantity Bundle: Step-by-Step Guide

What does it do? Display a selector in your store where customers choose to buy more units in exchange for a larger discount. The more they buy, the more they save — and you increase your average ticket.

Example: "Buy 2 and get 10% off · Buy 3 and get 20% off · Buy 5 and get 30% off"

Before you start: Create the promotion in Tiendanube

The Nuby widget is the visual interface your customer sees — the actual discount is applied through a Bundle-type promotion that must exist in your Tiendanube store.

Steps:

  1. Go to your Tiendanube admin panel.

  2. Go to Marketing → Promotions → New promotion.

  3. Choose the type "Quantity Discount".

  4. Configure the same quantity tiers and discounts you will set up in Nuby (e.g., 2 units = 10%, 3 units = 20%).

  5. Assign the promotion to the corresponding products/categories.

  6. Save and activate the promotion.

Once the promotion exists in TN, the Nuby widget activates it visually on the product page — clearly showing the customer their options before adding to cart.

How to create the widget in Nuby

Step 1 — Choose which products to apply it to

From the Nuby dashboard, go to Widgets → New widget → Quantity Discount. You have two options:

Option

When to use it

You want to apply it to one or several specific products. You can search for and add multiple products.

Category

You want the widget to appear on all products within a category. Just select the category and the widget handles the rest.

Step 2 — Configure quantity options

You can define between 2 and 6 options. For each one, you configure:

Pre-selected option: Choose which one appears checked by default. We recommend the middle option to guide the customer without pressure.

Step 4 — Publish the widget

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the discount apply automatically?

The widget does not apply the discount by itself. You need to have the promotion created in Tiendanube (see "Before you start" section). Once the promotion exists in TN, it is automatically applied to the cart when the customer chooses the corresponding quantity.

Can I apply the same widget to several products at once?

Yes. You can select multiple individual products when creating the widget, or directly choose an entire category.

What happens if I set up the widget but don't create the promo in TN?

The customer will see the widget with the discount options, but when adding to the cart, the price will not change. The TN promo is mandatory for the discount to be applied at checkout.

Does it work with variants (size, color, etc.)?

Yes. The customer first chooses the variant and then the quantity.

What if the product doesn't have enough stock for the chosen quantity?

The widget detects available stock and automatically disables options that exceed the current inventory.
