What is the purpose of connecting your number?
By connecting your WhatsApp number to Nuby, all modules that communicate via WhatsApp will use your store's number instead of the generic Nuby number. This includes:
Reviews — post-purchase review requests.
Stock Notifications (coming soon) — alerts when a product is back in stock.
Abandoned Cart Recovery (coming soon) — automatic messages to recover sales.
What type of number can I connect?
There are two possible cases:
Option A — Number already used in the WhatsApp Business app (Coexistence)
If you already have an active number in the WhatsApp Business app (the one on your phone) and you want Nuby to use that same number, Meta allows both to coexist without interruptions. This is called Coexistence.
What does this mean?
You continue answering messages from your phone as usual.
Nuby sends its automated messages from that same number.
Customers see your real number in all messages.
Customer replies arrive at both your app and Nuby.
Option B — New or exclusive cloud-based number
If you want to use a number that is not connected to the WhatsApp Business app (for example, a new number dedicated to your store), the process is similar, but Meta will ask you to verify that number via a PIN sent by SMS or phone call.
Prerequisites
Have a Meta Business Manager account (business.facebook.com).
Admin access to that account.
(Option A only) The number must already be active in the WhatsApp Business app.
Step-by-Step
Go to Settings in Nuby In the Nuby dashboard → go to any tool (Reviews, Stock, etc.) → Settings → WhatsApp section.
Click on "Connect WhatsApp" The Meta popup will open (Facebook Login / Embedded Signup).
In the Meta popup — choose your number type
If it's Coexistence (Option A): You will see an option that says something like "Connect existing number from WhatsApp Business App." Select that.
If it's a new number (Option B): Follow the standard flow for creating/linking a number.
⚠️ Note: If you don't see the Coexistence option, make sure the number is already registered in the WhatsApp Business app before continuing.
Select your Meta Business account and your number
Choose your Meta Business Manager account.
Select the WhatsApp Business Account (WABA).
Choose the phone number.
(Option B only) Verify the number Meta will ask you to enter a PIN that will arrive via SMS or call. Complete this step. For Option A (Coexistence), this step is skipped — the number is already verified through the app.
Confirm permissions Meta will ask you to grant permissions to Nuby to send messages. Accept all of them.
Configure Payment Method in Meta To ensure your automated messages are sent without interruption, Meta requires you to link a payment method to your WhatsApp Business account.

Done! Nuby is now connected, and from this point on, all modules using WhatsApp will send from your number.

What will NOT appear if you use Coexistence?
If your number is Coexistent, you will not see the "Redirection Number" section in the settings. This is normal — that option exists to redirect customers to another of your numbers, but if the connected number is already your store's number, redirection is unnecessary.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I disconnect the number at any time? Yes. From the same settings screen. Your WhatsApp Business app will continue to function normally.
Will Nuby automatically reply to my customers' messages? (Coexistence) No. Nuby only sends the scheduled automated messages (reviews, stock, etc.). You handle your customers' replies from your app as always.
Can I connect the same number to multiple Nuby tools? Yes. Once connected, that number is automatically used by all tools.
Could my number stop working in the app? (Coexistence) No. Coexistence is designed by Meta specifically for this: both connections live together without interruptions.
