What are push notifications?
They are messages that appear on your phone or computer even when you're not using the app or website at that moment.
For example, when you see a message that says “You have a new offer!” or “Someone replied to your message,” that’s a push notification.
They’re used to alert you about important things, remind you of something, or keep you updated with news.
How can your customers receive push notifications?
To allow your customers to receive notifications, there are 3 key steps: Trigger, Audiences, and Campaigns.
1. Trigger
First, you need to set up the trigger.
This is a little popup that appears on your site asking visitors if they want to receive notifications.
If the visitor accepts, they’ll be ready to receive whatever you want to send them.
2. Audiences
Next, you can choose who you want to send notifications to.
For example:
Everyone who visits your site
Those who visited a specific page
Those who added something to the cart
Those who made a purchase
This allows you to group people based on what they did on your site.
3. Campaigns
Once you have people who accepted to receive notifications and you've defined your audiences, you can create campaigns.
This is where you craft the message you want to send and choose who will receive it.
